Hi, I'm Allie Anderton

I was born and raised right here in the great community of Coeur d'Alene. I have been married to my best friend for 14 years. Together, we have three daughters and one grandson. As a family, we love all of the great outdoor activities available to us here in Northern Idaho. I attend church regularly with my family and volunteer wherever I can. I have been blessed to be a stay-at-home mom for most of the time, and recently became a Grandma. I have been able to spend this time raising our children, managing our home, volunteering, interacting in my children's classrooms, coaching, and even home schooling our oldest and middle daughters for a while.

While I have always played an active role in my children's education, my eyes were quickly opened in the last year. I realized that what I had been doing was not enough. Like most parents, I had become complacent and believed that our administrators and school board put our children’s best interests first.

I quickly went from complacency to FIRED-UP mama bear, determined to make a difference for ALL of our children.

I asked myself, “How do I make the biggest impact?”

  • I joined like-minded parents and teachers.

  • I attended meetings in person and virtually (nearly EVERY school board meeting).

  • I watched all legislative sessions that had anything to do with education.

  • I asked A LOT of pointed questions and kept notes.

  • I found that I didn’t like a lot of what I was seeing.

I discovered that my attempts at addressing these issues and topics fell on the deaf ears of our board AND administrators. I was hearing parents and teachers ask, “What do we do to combat this?” Some families can just pull their kids from public schools to home school or send them to private school, but that does not do anything for those that who have no alternatives.  More importantly, how does that really better our community as a whole? So I went back to my original question, “What can I do to make the biggest impact?” I came to 3 actionable ways to make an impact:

  1. I use my VOICE! I talk to everyone I know about the change that are occurring in our schools.

  2. I PARTICIPATE! By showing up at meetings, rallies, and anything that can help get OUR conservative voice out to the public.

  3. I STAND UP for ALL of our children, you as their parents, and our good teachers. I stand up to be that voice on a board, that has so much control over either the education or the indoctrination of the next generation.

I modestly ask for your support to help us all take back control of our children's education!
